CRANBERRIES

Cranberries grow uniquely in northern Europe and North America. Either fresh or dried, cranberries are a complete nutritional proposition with many beneficial properties.

Cranberry is best known for its role in preventing urinary tract infections. The high level of proanthocyanidins (PAC) in cranberries helps to reduce the adhesion of certain bacteria to the walls of the urinary system and thus to fight infections.

Research also shows that cranberry polyphenols can reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD) by lowering the blood pressure caused by cranberry consumption.
